CORE BUSINESS We offer our expertise in five main areas: Initial and in-service training, Research and Development, Project management and evaluation, Publications and ICT-WebQuest. Each of these areas is specified and illustrated with running or completed projects.

Area	Description	Projects

1. Initial and in-service training	Initial and in-service training for teachers and other educators in pedagogical, didactic and other selected areas.	In-service training for teachers of vocational education at 16+ in the area of interdisciplinary projects. Development of an In-service training module "Krise der Moderne" for teachers in vocational education. Development of a module didactics of English as a foreign language for teachers in vocational education.

2. Research & Development	Educational studies Development of curricula and other educational programs. Development of educational materials for modern language education	Research project: Comparative study into the competencies of grammar school graduates and graduates in vocational education. Comparison of secondary school qualifications for modern languages and the proficiency scales of the Common European Framework of Reference. New curricular framework for vocational education in Switzerland. New curricular guidelines for junior secondary education in the Canton of Ticino.

3. Project and Quality management; Evaluation	Project definition, execution and evaluation for initial and in-service training, innovation and research Consultancy in Project management (Coaching, Team development, Monitoring)	Consultancy and Management for the introduction of new curriculum guidelines for vocational education in the canton of Ticino Auditing for the International Certificate Conference (ICC): Certification of training for language teacher trainers. Organising and chairing an international conference on modern languages, including the secretariat of the scientific committee. Pedagogical and didactic analysis of the Swiss Expo02 offer for schools Evaluation of the innovation project "common orientation year at the school for vocational education in Bellinzona Evaluation of the project European Language Portfolio in vocational schools in the canton of Ticino.

4. Publications	Design, Administration and Publication of educational journals and materials	Production, administration and publication of "Babylonia", the journal of language learning and teaching
